Verification Methodology

How we verify coaches and what the Verified badge represents.

Purpose

Coacharo verification is designed to confirm that a coach is who they say they are and that their coaching presence is genuine. It is not a guarantee of teaching quality, results, or qualifications beyond what we explicitly check. The Verified badge helps users trust that the profile and contact details are legitimate.

What we verify

  • Identity: Name and contact details (email, phone, WhatsApp, Instagram where provided) are consistent and reachable.
  • Coaching legitimacy: We look for evidence that the person actually coaches (e.g. club affiliation, certification, or other reference). We do not independently validate certifications with issuing bodies unless we explicitly state so.
  • Profile consistency: Information on the profile (cities, sports, bio) is coherent and not misleading.

Process

Coaches request verification via our verify-coach form. They provide their details and, where possible, supporting evidence (e.g. a link to a club page or certification). Our team reviews each request and may follow up by email or phone. If the coach meets our criteria, we mark their profile as Verified. We do not charge for verification.

What we don’t verify

We do not assess coaching ability, teaching quality, or student outcomes. We do not run background checks beyond identity and legitimacy as described above. Users should read reviews and coach profiles and use their own judgment when choosing a coach.

Ongoing

Verification reflects the state of our review at the time it was granted. If we later discover that a verified profile no longer meets our criteria (e.g. misleading information or unresolved complaints), we may remove the Verified badge. Coaches can contact us if their circumstances change and they need to re-verify.
